I read Shifra Steinberg to distract myself from work! Great article and big meta-physical questions. Sometimes just sitting with the things we don't like . . means we are acknowledging despair (in many cases) and can teach ourselves that it too shall pass.
“… set for yourself goals, high and noble goals, and perish in pursuit of them! I know of no better life purpose than to perish in attempting the great and the impossible.” Fantastic article. I like the way think.
Thanks for allowing us to peer through the window into the cage of despair. Got me thinking of Viktor Frankl's work: “What [humanity] actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for a worthwhile goal, a freely chosen task." The human drive towards meaning (versus pleasure/power/ego) is, in Frankl's mind, what separates us from other creatures, and he's certainly a descendent of Nietzsche if not Kierkegaard as well.
Love this writing! I feel much lighter after reading this!!! Intelligent and well written piece
Yup! Unexpressed emotions always catch up to us!

Knowledge of knowledge is powerful. loved the parts you highlighted about Kierkegaard and Nietzsche's work.
Enjoyed the read, a lot. The questions asked, lead to reflections, takeaways, and excitement about my goals.
