Simply hilarious. And so, so relatable. In the end, isn’t everything we do an attempt at our own immortality? It is always strangely refreshing to meet someone who is entirely oblivious to the whole thing.

So true! Refreshing, yes. A part of me is always jealous of the oblivious. But then again, life gains a new dimension when we fully acknowledge our mortality.

This is soooo good! A very good short story with so much packed into it. I was sinfully satisfied that his selfish treatment of Caroline was repaid in full when she revealed her book. The title of the book bringing him to the realization that so much of his life had been wasted preparing for death was a great way to end the story. Loved this and look forward to reading more.
