Also, the movie was based on a short story by Ted Chiang. He has a few short story collections and I’d recommend them. The Merchant and the Alchemist’s Gate is another one of my favorites.
I’m blind in one eye. The world/my sense of reality is, paradoxically, enhanced because of this fact. Perhaps because of my overemphasis on words and language. I wonder how it is, in a Saussurian sense, for entirely blind people. Or deaf people, who can’t hear language in the way we can. Interesting article. Many thanks from Oregon.
